Camp will run from May 30 - June 8.
The schedule for the 2018 Summer Institute for Young Artists has been announced. The camp will run from 8:45 a.m. until 3 p.m. everyday from May 30 through June 8.
The cost for attendance will be $150 for any student entering fifth through ninth grade. The tuition covers lunch each day, a t-shirt, transportation and materials. Students will have the option to select one "major" and one "elective". The majors are band, choir and orchestra. Electives include visual art, drama and dance.
Scholarship opportunities are available for those who need financial assistance. Those wishing to explore scholarship opportunities can contact Tom Stites at Central Office at 270-686-1000.

Summer Feeding Sites
The Owensboro Public Schools Summer Feeding program featured its farm to summer lessons Wednesday, June 14 at both Legion and Moreland parks. This is essentially a “show and tell” for farmers where they can connect with the local community at a Summer Feeding site. Farmers talked about how the food is grown, what season and the nutritional benefits of eating locally grown food.
