On Friday, February 16, 2017 a record was set at Estes when 210 students earned Happy Meals for knowing their sight words! Way to go Estes students! A big thank you to parents, grandparents, and other volunteers for practicing sight words with our students. You will want to stop by our photo gallery to see the fun.
On Valentine's Day, the winning students of the latest GRIT contest were taken on a trip to the Edge Ice Arena where students had the chance to ice skate as well as enjoy a snack. Once again our students learned that showing patience and perseverance has great rewards. Even the youngest Estes student will tell you that when things get hard you cannot quit---you keep going and show GRIT! Be sure to check out our photo gallery for more photos.
On January 27, we celebrated the 100th day of school at Estes. It was an exciting day! Some of our teachers and students dressed up like they were one hundred years old, doorways were decorated with banners, and teachers created lesson plans and activities in the classrooms involving the number one hundred. We are proud to say our students are one hundred days smarter since the 2016-2017 school year began. Please stop by our Photo Gallery to see photos from this special day.
