Reading Winners Meet Wildly Important Goals
As a school, we set Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) to help our students grow through the Leader in Me process. Our school wide reading WIG is for each student to read 100 minutes every week. When students meet their weekly goal, they are entered into a quarterly drawing for a $20 gift card to Books a Million.

Wells Fargo Advisors Partner with Kindergarten and Primary 1 Classes
Wells Fargo Advisors have partnered with Newton Parrish for the past 4 years with a read aloud program and has donated 80 books to our school over that time. Every Spring, they choose 20 books to read aloud to Kindergarten and P1 students and then donated those books to become a part of our classroom libraries. Here is Larry Beisel reading to Mrs. Lewis's P1 students.

3rd Annual PTO Pineapple Ball

Our 3rd annual PTO Pineapple Ball was a great success! Students and parents brought in a canned good to donate to a local church's food bank. Students participated in a hula and costume contest and showed off their talents with the limbo. Thank you to DJ Prof G (Chad Gesser) for awesome music and lighting! Our students and parents had a blast. Check out our livestream video on our Newton Parrish Facebook page!

Night at the Library

Newton Parrish partnered with Daviess County Public Library for students and families to learn more about what our public library has to offer. Students and parents had the opportunity to enjoy story time, create a craft, register for their own library card and participate in a scavenger hunt. Many students used this opportunity to check out some awesome books.
