WHO: Students who will be attending kindergarten for the first time at any OPS elementary school beginning Fall 2021 are eligible to attend. Note: Attending preschool is NOT a requirement for Get on TracK Kindergarten Readiness Camp.
WHAT: Each class at OPS Get on TracK Kindergarten Readiness Camp will consist of no more than 10-12 students guided by a kindergarten teacher, preschool teacher, and instructional assistant. Campers will learn school-related skills, such as following directions and literacy and math concepts, all while practicing important social-emotional skills, like collaborating with others, waiting turns, and adjusting to new surroundings. These skills and activities will help better prepare your child for the transition to kindergarten this fall.
WHERE: Camps will be located at each OPS elementary school. This means campers will be able to participate in K Readiness Camp at the elementary school where they will be attending kindergarten this fall. Transportation will NOT be provided.
WHEN: Camp will be July 20-22 and July 28-30 from 9am-12noon each day. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided for each child.
HOW: We have a limited number of spots, and priority will be given to those students who have not previously been in a formal learning environment. If you are interested in more info, please visit bit.ly/kcamp21 to get on our info list.
