The OPS Foundation for Excellence recently was awarded a $2,500 Community Needs mini grant from Owensboro Health for the purchase of eight Kinnebar foot swings for the special needs students at Foust and Cravens Elementary School.
The swings will allow students in the special education classrooms with anxiety, difficulty focusing and other needs to have the proper tools for self regulation to be included in a general education classroom.
The swings are set to arrive in the next few weeks and will immediately be installed in various classrooms.
